WEATHER

Natural conditions in Egypt, are one of the best in the world to practice watersports:

• WIND - the wind is blowing throughout the whole year!
• WATER - warm, clean, crystal blue and.... salty:)
• SUN - no clouds guranteed!

Moreover, Egypt is just a few-hour-flight away from Europe. Tourist agencies offer very cheap charter and regular flights. Come and take part in IKO courses, kitesafari, or train on your own!
 
WHY EGYPT?

located on the desert plain, with no buildings around. El Gouna is the furthest north point of the beachhead. The cosatline lays on the NW-SE line.
 
The wind is stable and strong because of:

• PASSATS - the trade winds (also called trades). The trade winds blow predominantly from the northeast in the Northern Hemisphere. This effect is escalated because of:
  
  
• SURFACE  - location between the mountains. The wind speeds up between the obstacles (venturi effect)

SUN

Egyptian sun is very strong, therefore (regardless of the season) you should always use:

• water-resistant sun-screen (50+)
• head cover
• sunglasses

At RedSeaZone station we have special shaddowed space under the palm trees - chillout. You can read a book, surf on the Internet, and take a rest after kiting on comfortable sun beds. Additionally, sunbeds close to the beach are covered by the special roof to protect you from the sun and wind.
 
SEASONS
In Egypt, regardless of the season, visitors can expect cloudless sky and rainless weather.

Spring - looks like European warm sumer, excluding the rain risk:) Temperatures around 30 guarantee nice relax and suntan.

Summer - is very hot! Temperatures around 30-40 degrees Celsius are not so annoying thanks to the wind and dry air. When you're kiting, you almost don't feel the high temeperatures at all.

Autumn - temperatures are a bit lower, but the water is still warm after the summer. Moreover, the "hairdryer wind" creates the best conditions to kite in the whole year!

Winter -if you are covered from the wind - you can suntan just in your bikini! Temperatures are around 20C in the daytime, and 12C-15C in the nighttime. You'd need a hoody for the evening.

IS IT RAINING IN EGYPT?
Just few "lucky" people saw rain in Egypt. It happens a few times every few years. When it rains, there are just a few drops for a few minutes:) All the Egyptians (and tourists) come out of their homes and look at the sky:)
