How did you start kiteboarding?
In RedSeaZone, I was assistant, and I practiced a lot. All of my friends gave me the lessons and tips.
What do you like the most about kiting?
I love kiteloops in 30 knots, airpasses. I also like to go for kiting trips. And for sure I'd like to get better, and practice new tricks. And I will:) It's extreme sport, very good for the body. Kiting makes you active all the time.
Competitions: KiteJamboree'09 I won Freestyle Jam (amateurs), and I was 3rd at Egyptian Championship. I was also a finalist of Billiards (pool) Competition in El Gouna:))
Other sports: Football, and wakeboarding. Now I can do some tricks.
Kite adventure: I took a trip downwind from RedSeaZone to Club Med with my friend Emad. All the way downwind, my board broke, and then my harness as well. Emad's equipment also started to break, although we checked everything before. We were trying to help each other out, but it was very hard. The wind was very strong, and it was like a fight with the wind, instead of a downwind trip. At the end, we came too close to each other, and both kites got tangled, and fell in the water. We packed down everything and swam back to the shore.
RedSeaZone: RSZ is the best, the best, the best, the best.... for 4 years. I learnt all my kiting skills in RedSeaZone, Mike helped me out a lot in teaching, kiting and everything.
Beyond kite: Watching movies: action, comedy and romantic, I like them all.

Maciej Mike Zimowski

How did you start kiteboarding?
I started in 2000. I just asked my friend to give me kite and the board, and I took off. Shortly after, I discovered what the powerzone is:)
What do you like the most about kiting?
Freedom, and the possibility of jumping. My Favourite spot is: hmmm.... RedSea Islands!!!
Competitions: I don't remember how many - a lot, but it was old school, and long time ago. Mostly I was 5th in Poland, so not bad. But I always enjoyed it, and met a lot of great riders and supporters -greetings for all of them.
Other sports: windsurfing, snowboarding, tennis (when I was young) ice hokey, ballet:)
Kite adventure: 90 km upwind and downwind trip to discover hidden lagoon in north part of Red Sea Islands
RedSeaZone: I established it. I am the bloody owner:) I love that place (I have to:)
Beyond kite: Spending lots of hours a day with my family, graphic, making movies, watching porns.

Living in El Gouna couldn’t stop looking at the kiters and HAD to try it.....got hooked and can t do without it anymore!!!!!!
What do you like the most about kiting?
Freedom and the infinite improvement of your skills, you re just never there.....
Competitions: no, didn’t get the chance yet, but would like to
Other sports: diving, squash, tennis, sailing
Kite adventure: being stuck 3 miles from the south coast of Martinique with a broken backline, drifting for 2 hours before a boat picked me up.......it gives you the time to think about the meaning of life....!!!!!!!
About RedSeaZone: my second home....learned kiting over there; and now I can do something back for my friend Mike!
Beyond kite: music...... that s been my passion all my life and as well as my job for the past 29 years. I’ve been a professional guitarist - singer for all those years gave me the chance to worki more or less all over the world apart from the states and the far east......

I’ve started as an assistant in RSZ, then I left and started working as a instructor in other kite centers but finally I’m back and work for RSZ again.
What do you like the most about kiting?
I love training old school tricks.

Kite adventure: Crushing with friend at the beginning of race competition. We were untangling the lines for next 5 hrs…
RedSeaZone: I’ve started my adventure with kiteboarding in RSZ over 5 years ago. I came back this year to work as a instructor and I am really happy about that!
Beyond kite: Football – I play and watch match anytime I can. I’m freak about that!
